Zhangjiajie is located in the northwest of Hunan Province, between the elevated area of Yunnan and Guizhou Plateau. It is home to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, the Sakei Valley in the nature reserve, and the picturesque Wulingyuan Scenic Area. Zhangjiajie is often referred to as a “paradise on Earth,” with over 3,000 stone pillars and cliffs in various forms made of sandstone, many of which rise more than 300 meters high. For this reason, it was chosen as the inspiration for the setting in the world-famous 3D blockbuster movie Avatar.
Phoenix is the name of an ancient town located in the Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in the western part of Hunan Province, about 53 km from Jishou (Qianzhou) and approximately 280 km from Zhangjiajie. Phoenix Ancient Town is the economic, political, and social center of the region. Located by the beautiful Tuo River, the ancient town still preserves many fortresses, streets, old houses, family estates, literary temples, and pagodas. With over 1,300 years of history, Phoenix is one of the living museums of ethnic culture.

Zhangjiajie – Fenghuang Ancient Town, China (5 Days 4 Nights)
Day 01: Ho Chi Minh City – Zhangjiajie (Snack at the airport, Dinner)
- Afternoon – 12:30: Guests gather at Column 12 – Gate D2 – Departure Hall, Tan Son Nhat International Airport (2nd floor). The tour guide will meet the group and assist with check-in for flight VJ2552 SGN – DYG 15:25 – 20:30 to Zhangjiajie. Guests will have a snack at the airport.
Upon arrival at Zhangjiajie Airport, the group will complete immigration procedures to enter China. Guests will enjoy a light dinner with porridge and grilled meat specialties. Afterward, transfer to the hotel, check-in, and rest at Zhangjiajie.
Zhangjiajie Tour
Day 02: Zhangjiajie – Tianmen Mountain – 72 Peaks Tower (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Morning: The group will have a buffet breakfast at the hotel before starting the fascinating and exciting Tianxi Tour:
- Tianmen Mountain: Known as the “Number One Wonder Mountain in the World,” famous for its role in the martial arts films of Jin Yong and the supernatural stories of Pu Songling. The 11 km journey with 99 turns has become the most iconic feature of conquering this place. Guests will especially experience conquering the mountain by the majestic and modern cable car system, the longest in Asia (98 cabins with a total length of 7,455m).
- Upon reaching the summit, the group will visit the Lingxiao Platform – the Tianmen Mountain Square, offering the widest view to admire the entire scenic area from afar.
- Quikokshan Dao: A unique cliffside path on Tianmen Mountain, associated with the legend of Quikokshen Gong created by the Taoist immortal Quikokzi. Guests will pass through ancient spaces linked to martial arts legends, such as the Tian Mountain Sect, Banlong Cliff, The Smiling Proud Wanderer, and Linghu Chong.
- Additionally, guests will experience the thrill of the Glass Walkway – a 160-meter long glass bridge on the cliff where they can see the entire scenery below from a height of 1500m.
- Afterward, guests will climb 12 escalator flights to admire the Tianmen Cave, a natural arch carved by Mother Nature after a massive flood. Guests can also conquer 999 stone steps to visit the Wangyue Platform, light incense at the Prayer Tower, and touch the lucky Bronze Tylu for good fortune.
- Afternoon: The group will have lunch at a local restaurant, then continue the visit to:
- 72 Peaks Tower – designed based on the traditional architecture of the Tujia and Miao people. (Entrance fee included).

Day 03: Zhangjiajie – Fenghuang Ancient Town (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)

- Morning: After breakfast, the group will check out of the hotel and then depart for a visit to:
- Fenghuang Ancient Town – A 1,300-year-old ancient town, one of the top check-in spots in the Miao Autonomous Region, Guizhou. Famous for its old houses nestled along the gentle Tuo River, this place has been featured in films and the novel The Story of Bian Cheng by Shen Tongwen, which tells the love story of the character Thuy Thuy, adding to the uniqueness of the Tianxi Tour.
- Visit and admire the 10 iconic bridges, including Hongqiao (Rainbow Bridge), Xue Bridge, Wu Bridge, Vu Bridge, Feng Bridge, Nam Hua Da Bridge, and Moon Bridge. Each bridge has its own distinctive charm, contributing to the picturesque beauty of Fenghuang Ancient Town.
- Experience the thrill of walking on Jumping Stone Bridge and Wooden Bridge.
- Morning: After breakfast, the group will check out of the hotel and then depart for a visit to:
- Afternoon: The group will have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, in the afternoon, the group will visit:
- Fenghuang Town – An ancient town with breathtaking check-in spots, including the North Gate Tower and South Hua Gate.
- On the way, the group will visit Zhu Yan Ji Square, the Wan Sheng Tower, and the Phoenix Statue, which has a symbolic meaning of the phoenix turning its head.
- Take a boat tour along the Tuo River, enjoy the stunning scenery on both sides of the river, and experience the crystal-clear, refreshing water.
- Evening: Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Afterward, the group will return to the hotel to rest. Fenghuang Ancient Town
Day 4: Fenghuang Ancient Town – Zhangjiajie – Wulingyuan (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Morning: The group will have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Afterward, the group will travel to visit:
- Miao Village of Tianshi: – The cultural, economic, and political center of the Miao people. Famous villages such as Dehuang Miao Village and Maqing Miao Village. Depending on the actual conditions, the group will visit and explore the Miao people’s door-blocking tradition, with many unique and interesting features.
- Afternoon: The group will have lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, the bus will depart for Wulingyuan – Zhangjiajie. On the way, the group will visit:
- National Agricultural Park – Learn about the unique tea varieties in the Tianshi region.
- Traditional Chinese Medicine Pharmacy – Explore the cultural space of Chinese traditional medicine.
- Evening: The group will have dinner at a local restaurant and then return to the 5-star hotel to check in.Rest at Wulingyuan.
- Guests can choose to register for the famous performances “Mi Luc Tuong Tay” or “Thien Co Tinh”, which feature stunning performances depicting the life and culture of the Miao, Tujia, and Bai ethnic groups (at own expense).
Miao Village Of Tianshi
Day 05: Wulingyuan – Ho Chi Minh City (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner)
- Morning: The group will have breakfast and check out of the hotel. The bus and tour guide will pick up the group for the following visits:
- Bao Feng Lake Boat Tour: – One of the Four Wonders of Wulingyuan. Guests will take a boat ride to enjoy the beautiful scenery while listening to the song “Giao Chi Nhân Gian” by the Tujia ethnic group.
- Great Hero Gorge Glass Bridge: – The bridge has a total length of 430m, with a span of 375m, and a width of 6m, located in the valley of Zhangjiajie. It is a top tourist destination in China (optional extra cost).
- Afternoon: The group will have lunch with local specialties such as Owa Owa Fish and Beijing Roast Duck at a local restaurant. Afterward, the group will visit jewelry and silk shops for shopping.
- Evening:After dinner at a local restaurant, the bus will take the group to the airport for check-in for flight VJ2553 DYG – SGN 21:30 – 01:00 to Ho Chi Minh City.Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, the program ends. The tour guide will say goodbye and look forward to seeing you again.

Tour price includes:
- Round-trip airfare for the group.

Tour price excludes:
- Passport must be valid for more than 6 months from the return date (from the departure date to the end of the tour).

- Tips for the local guide and driver: $30 per guest per trip.
